Participant Profile ~ Hatley Loop

Hatley Loop is a rising senior at Cave Spring High School in Roanoke County, VA. In high school she plays defense on the varsity girls Lacrosse team and is a member of the Key Club. Outside of school, she dances for Ardell Stone School of Dance and enjoys pointe, jazz, and lyrical. Hatley plans on attending a four year college or university hoping to study Nursing working her way to become a Midwife. She is looking at attending the University of Virginia, James Madison University, or maybe Virginia Tech for undergraduate studies. Hatley attends St. John's Episcopal Church in Roanoke, VA, and is very active in her parish youth group. She enjoys attending SYP and Winterlight at Kanuga every summer and winter. She loves to babysit and has been doing a lot of that this summer along with her job at Elm Park Estates retirement community. Hatley is a member of the Youth Mission Team (YMT) for the diocese where she helps plan and facilitate diocesan youth events throughout the year. About the upcoming Leeds Exchange she says "I am excited to see the friends I met last year, and looking forward to meeting new ones while in England."
